“EXPRESSION WILL FOREVER CHANGE, BUT MY PURPOSE WILL FOREVER STAY THE SAME”.
Dancer, designer, artist, poet—Tess Guinery traded her dance shoes for a Mac book pro graduating from The Karl Von Busse Institute of Design, Australia in 2012 with an awakened passion to design and create. Very soon her creative eye and voice was echoed locally and beyond, inspiring others to find beauty in the routine of everyday—even in the mundane. Showcasing her individual and collaborative work through social media, Tess took the plunge and dived head-first into running her own business. After establishing herself as a sought-after creative, with exploding growth and design work bursting at the seams, Tess pressed pause and decided to take a sabbatical from design and it was in this season of surrender, Tess wrote—The Apricot Memoirs, a romantic fusion of words, colour, and soul; birthed within a season of slow, surrender, overseas travels and rainbows—her double blessing. Her beautiful sabbatical and reprieve gifted her free flowing-words—another expression for further exploration that is now taking her on a journey of its own.
Tenacious about creative growth, Tess continues to make bold, adventurous decisions all in the name of creativity and “choosing uncomfy”. Tess has a firm belief “that creative expression will for forever grow and change—whilst purpose will forever remain the same”, And if you dare to take a minute to listen to what her work has to say, you’ll discover the treasure of her greater purpose, buried beneath every brush stroke and written word, the digging—best left to you.
Tess currently resides in a rainbow love-shack by the sea with her stuntman husband and spirited daughter Peaches Wilde and her identical twin girls, Hopps Golden and June Moon.
